DESIGNATED CHARITIES


Sands for Singapore has a focus on supporting youth, education and arts in Singapore. To deepen our contribution and impact to the community, Marina Bay Sands proactively invests in long-term partnerships with our designated charities.
 

Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN)

  • Provides education, training and support services to persons with special needs, through its five schools and centre.
  • Marina Bay Sands began supporting APSN in 2013, by refurbishing APSN Katong School's training kitchens. Every year, over 200 F&B students receive training in this new facility.

Art Outreach Singapore

  • An arts charity that offers free art appreciation lessons to primary and secondary school students.
  • Art Outreach conducts the Marina Bay Sands Art Path tours and also trains volunteers to give these tours.
  • In 2016, Art Outreach conducted 7 Marina Bay Sands Art Path tours for over 300 primary and secondary school students.

Cerebal Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS)

  • Provides persons with Cerebral Palsy and multiple disabilities with special education, rehabilitation services, day activity centre programmes and vocational training.
  • CPAS became a Marina Bay Sands’ designated charity in 2016.

Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS)

  • A one-stop centre supported by a multi-disciplinary team of specialist psychologists and speech language therapists who help dyslexic people and those with specific learning differences in Singapore.
  • Marina Bay Sands' designated charity since 2015.
  • Contributed S$180,000 towards the Sands for Singapore Bursary from 2015 to 2017.

Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf)

  • Has been serving the Deaf and Hard-of-hearing community for the past six decades by providing sign language courses and interpretation services.
  • Since 2013, Marina Bay Sands has supported the Sign Language Interpretation Fund, helping SADeaf to more than triple its number of full-time hearing interpreters and expand its outreach programmes.
  • Supported SADeaf’s Sign Language Interpretation Fund with S$400,000 from 2012 to 2016.

Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF)

  • SGIFF is the largest and longest-running film event in Singapore, which focuses on showcasing international films and providing a global platform for the best of Singapore cinem​a.
  • Marina Bay Sands has been working with SGIFF since 2015 to support the local talent in Singapore and welcomes SGIFF as a designated charity in 2017.
